In June 2024, I was honoured to receive Active Stirling’s Parent Volunteer of the Year 2024 for my volunteering activity teaching Bikeability at St Ninians Primary School, Stirling. Thank you St Ninians for nominating me.
Having been part of the partnership of organisations that worked together to develop Bikeability in Scotland, it feels even more special to have received an award for helping deliver Bikeability at St Ninians PS, Stirling.
Our main development at the school is to make time to teach non-riders how to ride a bike in advance of doing Bikeability so that they can join their class-mates for the Bikeability sessions.
